Paddle beneath the full moon with Mimi Morrison. Enjoy quiet moments and conversations with like-minded women. Immerse yourself in summer by hiking in Hocking Hills. Spend a night under the stars at John Glenn Astronomy Park. Explore sandstone cliffs, gorges and native plants. KAYAK, HIKE & BIKE ADVENTURE WOMENS WEEKEND

I treasure these forested foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and the valleys and rivers that run through them, and invite you to come share them for a three-day adventure: biking on the 17-mile Hock-Hocking Adena Bikepath, kayaking the meandering Hocking River and hiking trails to touch the earth. In the evenings, retreat to the peace of Touch the Earth Adventures’ secluded shelter house or sleep in a Native-American-style tipi. Lodging and meals included.
**Bring your own bike. Bikes available for rent at additional cost.

Hike with us under wise old trees and kayak on healing waters this with Touch the Earth Adventures. Arrive at Burr Oak to kayak for the day and explore a portion of the lake where we have not paddled before. There is time for rest stops and lunch along our journey. A large fire awaits us along the shore at our late afternoon secluded and hidden stop where our dinner is cooked for us over our fire. Paddle back to the landing to end our day and check into our cabins and enjoy our evening. Daylight will greet us for our sunrise paddle the next morning (optional). Enjoy breakfast at the cabin and be ready to experience the connection we feel hiking under the ancient wise trees for the day (four to six miles).

HIKE WITH US ON THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL

mimi hike

Imagine hiking a section of the 2,159 mile Appalachian trail that extends from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mt. Katahdin in Maine! This section of trail traverses Virginia and crosses over into West Virginia. Hike by day and sleep by night in Bear’s Den Hostel, mountaintop castle-like lodging overlooking the valley with the Shenandoah River running through it.

When the leaves bathe the earth and the waters chill, Touch the Earth Adventures transitions to the winter season with new event offerings. We can celebrate the second full moon of January, named the Blue Moon with a one-night, two-day retreat.
